Are you in the internet business and deal with generalist portals and UGC sites and look forward to make lots of money? Well behold, because a mighty competitor has just re-launched few hours ago. It’s the new Apropo.ro, a Romanian portal that was not updated since 2001, but still had very high traffic. Based on technology trends and user needs, MediaPro Interactiv team, led by Orlando, has managed to do a silent re-launch of one of the biggest portals in the Romanian internet.
This is just a 1st release of a trilogy (this explains the beta in the logo), meaning that Apropo.ro will improve it’s features and services in the next 6 months. The step has been taken, the platform is ready and very scalable and we have lots of brilliant ideas to implement in the near future. But until then, the new Apropo.ro is offering, for the first time in Romania, some premium online services – 2gb free email (name@apropo.ro) with 20MB attachments capability , free SMS (nobody has done that since 2006 when Vodafone abandoned the project), a multimedia album with video sharing that allows 10 simultaneous uploads, chat, news, weather and lots of other exciting stuff all in a user friendly format.
