Metallica comes to Bucharest afterall
Metallica, originally uploaded by kirk jarvis.
Although we already bought tickets for Metallica concert in Prague, Metalhead comes with some great unofficial but pretty certain news – Metallica will perform in Bucharest on 26 July 2008, probably at Romexpo. This makes a lot of sense, as they are performing one day before in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Seems that Bucharest is the place to be in 2008 if you are a fan of live concerts – we will host this summer performances of: Kylie Minogue, Lenny Kravitz, Manowar, Nelly Furtado, Metallica, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Kaiser Chiefs and even a rumor that Madonna will perform in Constanta in late May…….wow that’s a lot of …ahhmmm …money!

) am

What’s your source?

source for what, for Metallica? I already mentioned in the post – it’s Metalhead – http://www.metalhead.ro/Stire-Metallica_in_Romania__OFICIAL-6388.html – they’ve managed to contact various organizers and last time I checked they had a confirmation.

Oh ok…get your facts straight dude. There’s a big chance they’re not coming.

I quote from Metallica website:
“Metallica returns to Bulgaria for the first time since 1999, on July 25 in Sofia at the Levski Stadium. A couple more dates to be announced, so stay tuned!”

I have a strong feeling that the next announced date will be Romania/Bucharest

Looks like a Vodafone Music concert, from the date (last year on 17 th of July-RS, 23 June 2006 – DM) but specially from all this secrecy. Probably only Vodafone can announce it with the proper PR and Mkt.
That’s my guess!

Interesting comment. You are probably right. VDF or not, I just hope they will come again to Bucharest.

I never liked their music much although I grew up in the 80s when they were really big.
