I just canceled my account with hi5 for 2 simple reasons:
- I don’t use hi5 services, probably I am not in the target group but I created my account initially just to see what’s it about
- I received complaints from my contacts and friends that claimimg I posted a porn image, linking to a porn site, as a profile comment. I did not do that and as long as Hi5 back-end allows these kind of things to happen, I opt-out.
I am amazed to see that Hi5 is one of the most accessed social network from Romania and this considering that it’s full of spam, malicious code and fake accounts. We have a long way to go. :(

You’re not the only one having problems with hi5. My account has been hacked also and porn related material was posted on my friends profiles using my account. I wrote to hi5 to complain about this situation, they did restore my profile but they told me I had to ask each one of my friends who received such comments to delete them… I don’t even know how many were sent let alone to who received them but I’ve seen a few so I didn’t bother contacting my friends about it. They obviously don’t look at their comments at all.

Hi I’m from Costa Rica. Indeed, hi5 sucks. They’re always in maintenance. Especially at night time and that’s the only time I check emails and stuff like that.
Yo, Hi 5 man. I’m having the same problem in Malaysia too.
It depends on who you want to meet. Hi5 is used a lot in Asia. If you want to meet Asian women then cool. But for sure it is slow and hacked up good (by both individuals and governments).
