I am a Mac. I just go my MacBook Pro 5 hours ago and I’ve been playing with it since, trying to figure out how Steve’s wonder works. This is just a test post using Qumana, a Mac replacement for Windows Live Writer.
First questions:
- how do I minimize all apps?
- what is a common replacement for “right click” when you try to copy the url of an image, etc ?
- what about “Home”, “End”, “Page Down”, “Page Up”, “Del” ?
- why have I waited so long to go the Mac way ? :)
- what is the most efficient way to run Windows on a Mac (Parallels, Bootcamp, VMware – heard about these but have no clue how they work and what are the differences between them) ? …for those apps that you are not ready to give up and that don’t have a Mac version already.
I’ll post more the following days, but please leave a comment if you can help with the above; don’t go LOL on me …I am a newbie! :P
Also, stay tuned on Webmyc for a photo story series with Romanian fortified churches from Transylvania. Just have to find time to put everything from last week together.

1. System Preferences > Exposé > Show Desktop – input a function key for this
2. ctrl + left click
3. On the Apple Keyboard you have these keys, on the MBP keyboard you can use the fn key (bottom left) + arrows
4. Ask your friends that question.

FUCK!!! Iara va trebui sa-i suport entuziasmul la birou! In fine …
First of all: welcome to the club!
1. F11? :) This if you setup your keyboard functions (Use all F1, F2, etc… );
2. “right-click” phenomenon. :) Get a mouse. A normal one. Otherwise, as commented above.
3. use FN key for them. How about “backspace”? :) Use FN+Delete.
4. that’s personal. Can’t help you.
5. VMware all around. I’ll suggest you don’t. Just install Windows on a partition and use ‘refit’ or just hold ‘Option’ key when powered. You’ll not need Windows; I need it for having fun: gaaames. VMware works ok, nice and smooth but after 3 months I’ve realizes I opened it 2 times. :) So, it’s ur call.
What are those applications you can’t give up on them? :) Just take your time, sleep nights; you’ll have plenty of time to get used with… and plenty of time to enjoy it.
cheers!
thanks a lot for all you help. One of those apps is Mediachance Dynamic HDR ;)
I’ll post separately about my experience with Mac so far.
Very interesting website. Keep up the outstanding work and thank you…
