Famous for it’s search engine spamming (Spamdexing), ClubAfaceri, a Romanian “business” portal is now proud to associate it’s name with Google Inc. They have implemented Google Apps on their website and they are offering access on their domain to the famous Google Mail, Google Calendar, Google Startpage, Google Docs, Google Talk, etc to their SMB clients. This is not an official partnership as anyone can implement Google Apps for over 2 years now - just as I did on webmyc.com. There is even a comment from one of ClubAfaceri’s owners where he admits there is no official partnership between his company and Google Inc, all in this pathetic story. Followers appeared rapidly and another Romanian portal (targeted on the auto moto market) - Masini.ro,  announced it’s “partnership” with Google Inc.

Who’s next? Neogen.ro ? Not yet, they still have to cope with the trafic that domain speculations brought them.

If you are traveling to LA and happen to see a black vending machine, like the one of the left, and wonder, what the hell can I buy from here? Well …the answer is Weed …. as in Marijuana …. as in Ganja! You get to choose between two types of marijuana strains: “OG Kush” and “Granddaddy Purple” …but there’s a catch ! ;)

In order to be able to get your miracle fat buds you have to have medical conditions such as glaucoma, cancer (God forbid!), or the deadly not-stoned-enough virus and have a prescription for it! I shit you not, these machines will read your fingerprint and you have to insert a special prepaid credit card that is loaded up with your dosage and what strain of weed you want.

Orange Romania have silently relaunched their website today. I am guessing they are debugging and making sure everything works before the official press release as I am not able to find any official information about their face lifted website.

WebShop and WebCare applications have maintained the old look & feel and probably they will get revamped in phase 2.

I personally find the content very crowded and I’ve also noticed some bad CSS usage but the improvements are clearly noticeable and they brush some of the dust from that old website.

Great story via Bucurenci.

One pastor entered his donkey in a race and it won. The pastor was so pleased with the donkey that he entered it in the race again, and it won again.

The local paper read: PASTOR’S ASS OUT FRONT.

The Bishop was so upset with this kind of publicity that he ordered the pastor not to enter the donkey in another race.

The next day, the local paper headline read: BISHOP SCRATCHES PASTOR’S ASS.

This was too much for the bishop, so he ordered the pastor to get rid of the donkey. The pastor decided to give it to a nun in a nearby convent.

The local paper, hearing of the news, posted the following Headline the next day: NUN HAS BEST ASS IN TOWN.

The bishop fainted. He informed the nun that she would have to get rid of the donkey, so she sold it to a farmer for $10.

The next day the paper read: NUN SELLS ASS FOR $10.

This was too much for the bishop, so he ordered the nun to buy back the donkey and lead it to the plains where it could run wild.

The next day the headlines read: NUN ANNOUNCES HER ASS IS WILD AND FREE.

The bishop was buried the next day.

The moral of the story is . . . being concerned about public opinion can bring you much grief and misery and even shorten your life. Be yourself and enjoy life. Stop worrying about everyone else’s ass and you’ll be a lot happier and live longer!

Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu has recently announced the 2008 forecast for the media market in Romania, covering both Online and TV. In short, they estimated a 50% increase in online advertising which brings the market up to aprox. 15 million euros. This is also estimated based on the 2007 figure which most industry people agreed that is around 10 million euros.

Some other facts from the press release tell us that the online advertising market is around 3% of the total advertising market, which is a pretty significant percent, considering other figures from CEE. They also speculate that by the end of 2008, Romanians will have access to IPTV service. I only wish one could easily find similar figures for other countries.

Recently launched, iLeo, the interactive division of Leo Burnett Romania has a new corporate blog. Innovative, interactive and built entirely in flash! I’ve never seen a blog done entirely in flash, but hey, that’s just me. Pretty interesting features (i was happy to see that RSS works) and let’s hope they update it as often as possible.

Ieri ora 13:00. Redactia Apropo primeste pe email un filmuletz. Protagonista - o zana orientala cu un “suflet” mare jumatate “expus” pe tava - incearca sa danseze oriental intr-un decor improvizat. Recuzita cedeaza si tanara este redusa la tacere de…. deee…..un amarat de SIFONIER.
Ieri ora 14:00. Fimuletzul este uploadat pe Apropo si fanii zanei incep sa apara cu zecile. Si a inceput nebunia. Internetul s-a inflamat, serverele s-au bronzat si zana a avut pana acum aproape 40.000 de vizite!

Filmul a fost preluat pe mai multe bloguri, ba chiar am gasit unele pe care autorii injura de mama focului ca s-au saturat de mass-uri cu filmu cu sifonieru. Astazi, trimitand un link unui prieten, raspunsul a venit promit “e faza cu manelista si sifonieru?. Drept urmare, Apropo.ro s-a pus pe treaba. Iata mai jos comunicatul si si mai jos filmuletzul vinovat. Eu tot ce sper e ca fata este in regula, nu a suferit traume prea mari si va raspunde la apelul nostru. Stay tuned…

Wanted: Victima dansului oriental si apoi a sifonierului!
Incepand de astazi, redactia Apropo.ro da cautare generala protagonistei din filmuletul vizionat pe Apropo.ro de peste 30 000 de ori.Dupa ce ne-am vazut inbox-urile pline cu mesaje de la utilizatorii ingrijorati de soarta fetei, ne-am decis sa pornim pe urmele ei. Contam pe ajutorul vostru!

Semnalmentele fetei sunt: mai plinuta decat un model de top, cu oroare de textile si pasiuni pentru dansuri orientale, posesoare a unui fular verde mult prea rezistent si, cel mai probabil, a unor vanatai si cucuie.

Un indiciu important: este posibil ca in aparatamentul fetei sa fie un sifonier stricat sau unul nou, schimbat de curand.Raspunde prompt cu miscari unduitoare la muzica orientala, e pregatita oricand sa devina vedeta si nu se da in laturi de la sporturi extreme fara casca de protectie. Pentru colegii de scoala care ar putea-o recunoaste, mentionam ca a lipsit in generala de la lectiile despre gravitatie.

Cine a vazut-o, admirat-o sau cine ne poate da detalii despre ea, este invitat sa ne dea de stire printr-un comentariu la acest articol.

I don’t usually dream during my sleep. It all happens while I am awake :)

Last night it was different. I dreamed something that seemed to be very very real. I had all the info i have now and i was back in time, in 2001. What would you do if you were back 7 years ago and still hold all the information and the knowledge you do in the present? You want to know what I did? I bought about a 10 .com domain names, like www.picasa.com, www.flickr.com, www.facebook.com, www.digg.com, www.twitter.com, etc…you get the point.

Can you guess what I did when I woke up?
I rushed to do a whois on those domains to see whether or not  if I am still the owner!!! :D :)
