Guess what? April 4 - the new Scorsese movie - "Shine A Light" is being released and it’s all about The Rolling Stones.

After producing "No direction home" (2005) a great bio of Bob Dylan, Scorsese now takes on the challenge to direct the bio movie of the grandpas of Rock. Just imagine a Rolling Stones concert filmed by one of the most talented directors and producers.

Scorsese has made another fabulous concert movie using all modern techniques available. Scorsese had the Stones rehearsing their stage show for some days so he was able to choreograph his cameras. Shot with 16 cameras he is able to be always on the right image to the music. But yet it is not senselessly hectic like a bad music clip but allows you instead to watch the musicians and get a feeling for them. The Stones are at their best, delivering one hit after the other. There are some surprises like a duet by Mick Jagger and Jack White III. Buddy Guy and Christina Aguilera also blend in perfectly with the rhythm of the Stones. In between there are some short clips of old Stones interviews which are quite funny and also some Behind-the-Scenes-Footage.

Here are some pictures from the Playboy Party 2 years ago, just to compare them to the pictures from last night.

As I promised here are pictures from the Playboy Party last night. The party was very crowded and Palace Colosseum proved to be to small to hold the numerous crowd of Playboy fans and Playmates. There was a drawing for some places as a copilot in the FIA GT - Bucharest City Challenge 2008 - Calin Fusu is one of the winners :). Here is the full set of pictures.

I am on my way to the Playboy Annual Party, and as a premiere, I am taking my wife with me ;) It’s going to be fun. I’ll try to "sneak" my camera in and maybe take some nice shots of local playmates.

Last year, Playboy Romania was operated by Publimedia International as a publisher. Unfortunately this is no longer the case, as Attica Media took over the publishing rights.

I am not sure how the new management planned this party but they already did a huge PR mistake by not inviting as a guest one of the professional photographers that was responsible for the most admired and memorable photo shootings for the same magazine, during the last 6 years. I hope at least the playmates will be there!

Apple released today the upgraded versions of MacBook and MacBook Pro. Besides the natural update to OS Leopard, there some hardware updates that definitely place the MacBook’s in the best performance notebook pool.

MacBook now comes with: Latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors up to 2.4GHz, 2GB of memory standard on 2.4GHz models, Larger hard drives across the entire line, up to 250GB; while MacBook Pro delivers: Latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors up to 2.6GHz, NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics processing with up to 512MB of video memory and the expected Multi-Touch trackpad that you can already find on MacBook Air.

I did not see any modifications in the form factor/casis but this is quite normal as the MacBooks where already top of the line in build and aesthetics.

I am trying to get myself a refurbished MacBook Pro from the US. Do you have any experience getting those to Europe? The prices are unjustifiable much higher in EU, not to speak of Romanian prices.

I am not 100% satisfied with the current theme and lack of time and experience prevents me from modifying it to match the specifications I need. • eye-candy image header that i will change monthly - doesn’t need to change automatically or from the admin

• individual post page should have navigation to previous and next post
• post width large comments box/form with captcha and option to subscribe to comments

I went shopping the other day and I could not resist the temptation to take some pictures of some nice vegetables. What you can see bellow are HDR images made from a single RAW shot and not from multiple exposure shots. I don’t even know if you can call them real HDRs, but what I’ve noticed is that this technique is good for scenery/landscapes and not for objects or people.

The funny part is that some poor-ass employee from the market told me pretty roughly that I am not allowed to take pictures of the products. No shit! Where’s the sign that enforces that? Aren’t you supposed to be happy that I am taking pictures of your nice products and post them online together with a nice review of your store? No? Ok then, here are some really non commercial pictures of your "products". Enjoy!

The market name is Auchan (Bucharest). Don’t go there, they have some pretty scary looking peppers. :)
