Kickbee: track fetal movements on Twitter
Geek expectant father Corey Mensche came with a device that hooked on a pregnant woman, sends Twitter updates when the baby moves. Device is based on piezo sensors that react to small movements and sends some date via bluetooth to a laptop and from there update are posted to Twitter.
Crazy world but if you think twice the gimmick is quite useful because you can track and keep a history of in-womb baby movements – so monitor the health and well being of your future child, remotely :)

Google in 2001
Google has made available for a limited time period and in honor of their 10th birthday (until mid November) their oldest search index, back from 2001. Pretty nice walk in the past, I even found some relevant results for my online activity, 7 years ago: positions #1 and #2 are mine, while position #3 is my fathers’.
I invite you to do the same “vanity search” in 2001 Google and see if you left any traces online from back then ;)
Later update: Searching the names of todays’ Romanian online industry VIPs, I found some interesting results:
- Orlando Nicoara – March 22nd 1999, doing some business as the Internet Marketing Director of NewsSurfer :)
- Calin Fusu and Vlad Stan giving some testimonials: Calin, as admin of RoGenerator and Vlad as GM of allonline.ro
- Cristian Manafu as web editor in DMOZ for the World > Românã > Afaceri > Publicitate category
- and probably not Zoso, but someone having the same real name as him, who at age 19 committed some felony :)
Priceless: We’re not cool enough
Microsoft’s Lame Disclaimer for not having an OSX version, originally uploaded by Chewbacka.
If you want to try-out Microsoft’s new Photosynth technology on a Mac you are up for a nice surprise:
Unfortunately, we’re not cool enough to run on your OS yet. We really wish we had a version of Photosynth that worked cross platform, but for now it only runs on Windows.
Trust us, as soon as we have a Mac version ready, it will be up and available on our site.
Relax…
…and draw in the sand, hear the waves and seagulls, have an ice-cold beer with some fresh lime. All this and more on probably the most refreshing and nicely done brand websites I’ve ever seen – The Corona Beach
but “webmyc.com loves guiness” :)

Trying out uberVU
uberVU is a service where you can post your content to a variety of platforms (blogging, picture-sharing, video-sharing platforms) and see the responses from a single location. It’s currently in Beta and I thought I’d try it out to see how it goes. In short, I’m posting this with from uberVU.
This entire post, except the current paragraph was automatically inputted in a new blogpost from uberVU so you can spread the love and tell people about this great product. I bet that uberVU will be a huge success once they are out of beta.
Posted with uberVU – say hello to the whole world
