Fun has begun on the market – HTTPool & Yahoo.ro

HTTPool enters Romanian market as a full service online advertising network, following the market trends by bringing a combined approach to the Online Industry – full service agency & online advertising network. I met HTTPool’s CEO, Timotej, in Warsaw at the InternetCEE conference last november and he is a fun guy with a sound business focus and clear regional markets understanding. I was impressed that such a young guy can lead such a big operation, but I guess this is the way in the Online Industry. It’s funny that neither of the sources that bring us the news mention anything about Timotej.

Timotej Gala is responsible for media-buying and Internet advertising operations in five CEE markets. Since 2003, when he joined the company, he has successfully positioned Httpool as the market leader in online marketing in South-East Europe. Furthermore, he actively promotes Internet marketing in the region presenting the latest trends and opportunities of online marketing through media and marketing events.
The other news comes from Bobby Voicu – romanian blogger & online evangelist – recently appointed Yahoo Romania Community Manager. Bobby had a very important guest on his online RadioLynx show – Darren Patterson, Yahoo Business Development Director for Emerging Markets, who announced Yahoo’s strategy for 2008&2009 in Romania. Apparently www.yahoo.ro will be online with localized content this fall (august-september). You can see the full story on ZF.
Also, Yahoo! Messenger, no1 social “network” in Romania (if you ask me), will have a localized (translated) version.
This will definitely be a fun year for the Online Industry in Romania

A fost interesant. Fiecare invitat a impartasit cateceva din experienta personala de online.
Am remarcat, spre rusinea mea, ca autoarea cartii, Dorina Guţu este profa mea de la SNSPA – ne-am intalnit si sambata cand eu am dat una dintrele cele doua restante care mai stau intre mine si diploma de licenta – joi se afiseaza notele – poate mediul online ma ajuta sa obtin o nota de trecere – se aude dna Guţu ? 
Vlad Stan a facut un apel offline catre toti bloggeri – haideti sa promovam aceasta carte – in mediul online. Stau si ma intreb, din moment ce cartea se adreseaza in primul rand celor care nu au avut tangente prea mari cu mediul online – se vrea a fi un instrument de “educare” a acestora – oare cat va ajuta o promovare in mediul online ?
Am mai observat ca Orlando a fost singurul pe care microfonul l-a respectat si caruia nu i-a facut probleme tehnice (bine Chief!!)
eCostin a vorbit foarte frumos si chiar in versuri – “internetul ar fi mult mai sarac, fara un Novac…” – si datorita lui avem si urmatorul montaj de la lansare:

uitati si cateva poze:
si nu uitati sa cumparati cartea: “puteti cumpara cartea de pe siteul dol.ro sau de pe siteul editurii Tritonic” – costa 20 ron.
